For his Wisconsin Public Radio program “To the Best of Our Knowledge,” Steve Paulson has put together a six-hour series on the science of consciousness. “There’s a lot of neuroscience in the series,” he says, “but also some segments that deal explicitly with the spiritual dimensions of consciousness. Asked what subjects they would like to receive more coverage, 44 percent said scientific news and discoveries, 41 percent said religion and spirituality, 39 percent said health and medicine, 39 percent said their state government, and 38 percent said their neighborhood or local community.
