Is There Any Occasion (We Know of) When Spending Money to Help Others Wouldn’t Make Us Feel Good?

There are likely situations in which giving would not lead to happiness. For instance, past research has shown that people only feel good after giving when they feel that they have chosen to give; being forced to give does not appear to produce emotional rewards.
