What Is the Most Common Mistake Philanthropic Organizations Make With Donors?

Not treating donors as one of their number one priorities, and yes, I mean number one.

Organizations, in order to succeed in gathering sufficient resources to support their mission, need to develop a learning culture such that they are able to develop and adjust their organizational operations alongside of the journey that donors share with them. So treating their donors well, in a way, is their work. But knowing that without their donor support they won’t be able to accomplish any of their objectives makes treating their donors well their first priority.
